Wedding Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to wedding catering bookings made with Kavanagh’s Catering. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

By paying your deposit, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Table of Contents

Booking Confirmation

A wedding catering booking is only confirmed once a non-refundable deposit of £500 has been paid.

Until the deposit has been received, your wedding date cannot be guaranteed and may remain available to other customers.

Once your deposit has been paid, Kavanagh’s Catering will reserve the agreed date for your wedding catering service.

Deposit

A £500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding booking.

This deposit is deducted from the total cost of your wedding catering package. The deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the customer.

Payment Schedule

The payment schedule for wedding catering bookings is as follows:

  • A £500 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking.
  • 50% of the total balance is due 12 weeks before the wedding date.
  • The final balance is due 4 weeks before the wedding date.

All payments must be made by the agreed due dates. Failure to make payments on time may result in the booking being cancelled.

Final Numbers & Event Details

Final guest numbers, menu choices, timings and any important event details should be confirmed in good time before the wedding.

Once final details have been confirmed, changes may not always be possible, particularly where food, staffing, equipment or supplier arrangements have already been made.

If guest numbers increase after final confirmation, Kavanagh’s Catering will do its best to accommodate the change, but this may be subject to additional charges and availability.

Dietary Requirements & Allergies

Customers must provide details of any dietary requirements, food intolerances or severe allergies before the wedding.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Vegetarian or vegan requirements
  • Gluten-free requirements
  • Dairy-free requirements
  • Nut allergies
  • Severe food allergies
  • Religious or cultural dietary requirements
  • Any other food-related requirements that may affect the catering service

Kavanagh’s Catering will take reasonable care when preparing and serving food, but it is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate and complete allergy and dietary information in advance.

Where guests have severe allergies, this must be clearly stated as early as possible so that suitable arrangements can be discussed.

Drinks & Bar Charges

Any outstanding drinks bill must be settled on the night of the wedding.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, any additional drinks, bar services or extra charges incurred during the event must be paid before the end of the evening.

Cancellation by the Customer

If you need to cancel your wedding catering booking, cancellation fees will apply.

Cancellation fees are charged as follows:

  • Cancellation with 12 weeks’ notice: 50% of the total booking value will be payable.
  • Cancellation with 4 weeks’ notice or less: 100% of the total booking value will be payable.

The £500 deposit remains non-refundable in all cancellation circumstances.

Cancellation must be provided in writing.

Changes to a Booking

Kavanagh’s Catering will always try to accommodate reasonable changes to your booking where possible.

However, changes may be subject to availability and may result in additional costs. This may include changes to guest numbers, menus, timings, staffing, equipment, location or service requirements.

Any agreed changes should be confirmed in writing.

Venue Access & Facilities

The customer is responsible for ensuring that Kavanagh’s Catering has suitable access to the venue at the agreed time.

The customer should also ensure that the venue provides any required facilities, access points, parking, preparation areas, power supply, water supply or other arrangements needed for the catering service, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

If restrictions at the venue affect the service, Kavanagh’s Catering should be informed as early as possible.

Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for providing accurate event details, including the venue address, timings, guest numbers, dietary requirements and any special instructions.

Kavanagh’s Catering cannot be held responsible for issues caused by incorrect, incomplete or late information provided by the customer.

Force Majeure

Kavanagh’s Catering will not be liable for failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control. This may include, but is not limited to, extreme weather, fire, flood, illness, accidents, road closures, supplier failure, venue issues, power cuts or other events outside of the business’s control.

In such circumstances, Kavanagh’s Catering will make reasonable efforts to communicate with the customer and minimise disruption where possible.

Liability

Kavanagh’s Catering will take reasonable care when providing catering services.

However, the business cannot be held responsible for loss, delay, damage or disruption caused by circumstances outside of its control, incorrect information supplied by the customer, venue restrictions or third-party actions.

Agreement

By paying the required deposit, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Wedding Catering Terms & Conditions.
